Summertime Sweetness

A feast for the eyes today! I highly recommend you have something next to your keyboard to indulge in while you peruse these pastries or you might be tempted to steal someone else's cake! Proceed with caution:

Frosted Cut-Out Cookies
This combo was chosen for it's summery goodness. As always: scratch made butter cookie & frosting scented with pure Vanilla essence. After 15+ years of making these they are still one of my favourites!

Beautiful Cupcakes
A moist velvety Devil's Food Cupcake is dipped in a dark Belgian chocolate glaze & piped with a sweet buttery flower. I have personally consumed a jindescribable amount of these recently. They are what keeps me slim. Heehee!

Pineapple Upside-down Cakes
Ohhh...these are sooo yummy! A moist rich yellow cake is baked with a ring of pineapple, a dark sweet cherry & lots of my very own caramel sauce. Bet you can't eat just one! (I know I can't. *blush*)

More 'jinormous' Cut-Out Cookies
I'm working on a new technique that will allow me to physically hand you this cookie through your monitor. You need to let me know if it's working properly. *jin passes one cookie to each & every blogfan reading this.* Ok...did it work? How did it taste? (One of you has really cold hands!!!)

Yeah, sorry about the cold hands. It's Winter here. And I'd appreciate it if you'd stop harping on about it being summer over there thank you very much! Well... OK, but only cause you posted those delicious looking pineapple creations.

PS. Thanks for the links to the 'out-dated art' of sugar casting. The sugar skulls link was particularly useful.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm! I've tasted Jinny's cookies, and they're To. Die. For! Um, how do those mini cupcakes travel? Think they'd make it to Canada? Eh? ;)

K. Gotta get back to my movie. It's a secret... get it? :)

Fu&k! After watching the piccies again, I've hankering for a cookie, and all I can come up with is this bag of snack sized Coffee Crisp bars that are destined for Manitowoc... Hhhhhhhh, guess I'll have to do without; can't be sending the bag with a mini bar pilfered out of it... ;)

The cold hands I can forgive...it's the guy that reached past the cookie & grabbed somethin' else that must suffer the jinwrath!

Yes...I know you aren't fond of chocolate & abhor cookies so I threw the pineapple cakes in there just for you!

Glad I could help! A jin needs to be useful every once in a while. ;-)

See, now that's just not true. If the chocolate is really high quality and is turned into a SUPER rich cake or slice or something soft and chewy then I'll wrestle you for it; and if the cookie is something small, thin, crisp, and with savoury qualities then I'm all for that too. But if it's a giant cookie with some sort of yellow sugar and coloured meringue/icing stuff then I'd rather eat a bucket of eyeballs.

Tough choice...hmmmm.

Thinking, thinking, thinking.

Must I only pick one????

If I must, then it would be the pineapple upside down cakes.

No Wait, maybe the lemon pound cake.

No Wait, maybe the pineapple.

No Wait, maybe both.

jin said...

Ahhh! A woman after my own heart.

At jintrinsique, you need not ever choose.

Here, you can ALWAYS have BOTH!!!
